Alberta

Guidance Counsellor – Calgary – Alberta


Erin is a Guidance Counsellor at Bishop Carroll Catholic School in Calgary.  The incoming assignment is Personal, Career and Study Skills Counselling.  Erin is also qualified to teach Junior Maths and English.  Excellent references are available.   The school is a leader in Student Self-Directed Learning and has had many Australian teachers tour the school in the past.  The incoming teacher must be Catholic.  She is Catholic, married with two children and has a FIVE bedroom home  (1800 sq ft) available for exchange in Calgary.    Calgary is a top exchange destination;  look up http://www.tourismcalgary.com/ and http://www.discovercalgary.com/   http://www.canada-city.ca/calgary-canada.php  and is home of the famous Calgary Stampede http://calgarystampede.com/

Biology/Chemistry – Waterloo  –  Kuldip teaches Biology/Chemistry at St David Catholic Secondary School in Kitchener. He has top qualifications and references. The incoming teacher must be Catholic. Kuldip is married and has a new four bedroom home available for exchange in Kitchener. The Waterloo  region is the best of all worlds; it includes the cities of Cambridge, Kitchener  and Waterloo. LONDON - ONTARIO


Peggy is a Teacher/Librarian at Byron Northview Public School in London Ontario.  This is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school but Peggy is qualified to teach Information Literacy, Research Skills, Media Literacy, and Language to  K-12.  Her extra curricular activities include:  Library Club Supervisor, Book Fair Coordinator, Family Literacy Day Coordinator, Author Visit Coordinator and coordinating the Social Justice Club.  Byron Northview is located in Byron, a suburban village in the west end of London.  The Thames River and Springbank Park are within walking distance.

The city of London is located at the Forks of the Thames River in Southwestern Ontario, a 45 minute drive to Lake Huron and Lake Erie beaches and provincial parks.  Look up  http://www.london.ca/  and www.londontourism.ca  for more information.  London is also famous for its theatre and live music concerts.  It is also a popular exchange destination.

Peggy is married to a visual artist and they are involved in the arts community there.   Peggy sings in the church choir and takes piano lesions.  They have a beautiful four bedroom home available for exchange, with an outdoor inground swimming pool (opened professionally in June and closed end of September).

SARNIA


Stephanie teaches Grade 1 at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Sarnia.  She is qualified to teach upper primary.  The incoming teacher must be Catholic and could participate in any areas that he/she has an interest in, ie music, coaching sports, fund-raising, prayer services etc.  Stephanie is single and has a two bedroom condo available for exchange 5km from school.  Sarnia is located in southwestern Ontario on Lake Huron and the St Clair River.  It is across the river from Port Huron, Michigan USA.   It has many parks and beaches eg Canatara Beach and a popular summer activity is to go under the Blue Water Bridges to watch the boats and each French fries and ice cream.  Look up www.sarnia.ca and www.tourismsarnialambton.com

DENVER - SOCIAL STUDIES - Greg teaches Social Studies at Golden High School, he is alsi qualified to teach History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography. He has a partner and has a two bedroom apartment in Lakewood available for exchange. Nestled in the foothills which lead to the Rocky Mountains, this is a top exchange destination. The school offers rafting trips in Colorado and Utah.

DENVER – ART - Sam teaches Art at McKinley-Thatcher Elementary School in Denver.  He is also qualified to teach Secondary Art.  He is married and has three boys and lives in a four bedroom home in a friendly historic neighbourhood of Denver.

Denver has more than 300 days of sunshine and has all the amenities of a big city but with great accessibility to the Rocky Mountains and all sorts of outdoor activities.
