A Snapshot Of Australia’s Diverse Schooling Sectors

               

Did you know there are about 1,693 Catholic, 175 Non-denominational, 45 Steiner and 28 Muslim schools in Australia, to name just a few? To find out how many types of schools exist and how the numbers have changed since the 1960s, read on.

 

Australia’s model of school education is the most diverse in the developed world. Its diversity reflects the fact that Australians come from a broad range of cultural, religious and linguistic backgrounds.

 

Australia’s non-discriminatory policies in relation to school funding recognises, celebrates and supports greater diversity which creates a greater sense of cohesion in our community.
