By joining the IEU's Copenhagen and Beyond campaign you get to stay abreast of the Union’s latest environmental campaign initiatives while sending an urgent message to our leaders: “strong action is critical and expected”.
With the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen (COP15) failing to agree on emissions targets or international instruments, 2010 will see a continuation of negotiations in the lead-up to COP16 in Mexico. And in a federal election year, it’s set to remain a hot-button issue locally as well.
This makes 2010 a good time to keep the pressure on locally. Join the IEU in driving home to our leaders that effective government policy is absolutely critical for managing industry’s environmental performance.
What do you think and how would you like to see these issues dealt with? Ensure your voice is heard? Join the IEU Environmental Network on facebook or contact environetwork@ieu.asn.au.
