Retired members are eligible to join the Retired Members' Association. Meetings are held three times per year ending with a Christmas social function.

Welfare Rights Centre

Security law and its administration can provide assistance to members in the complex area of social security entitlements. These include:

  • Unemployment Benefits
  • Family Allowance
  • Sickness Allowance
  • Disability Support Pension
  • Parenting Allowance, and other Social Security Payments

The difficulty lies in unravelling entitlements and how they interact with each other. The Welfare Rights Centre is there to assist and support members at a time when their need is greatest. The centre is also able to assist in appeals against Social Security decisions where appropriate.
