Having problems with NESA
Members have reported a range of issues with NESA’s new eTAMs system. NESA is aware of the technical issues, is working to fix them and have provided the following advice to the IEU.
Accredited teachers and fees
Some teachers who have paid their fee are still seeing these as unpaid on their account. NESA explains there is a problem with the admin system “communicating” with the finance system but that this should be rectified shortly, and members need not worry about being un-financial if they have paid.
I have received an invoice from NESA but can’t pay using their online system:
NESA’s online payment system has not been working. However, you can still pay using BPay, credit card, direct debit, cheque or money orders (details can be found on the invoice). This payment is due by 28 Feburary 2018. NESA will not be taking any action for non-payment until they have a stable payment system in place.
I am a pre-2004 teacher who has not received an invoice from NESA:
Pre-2004 teachers will be invoiced towards the end of term 1. If you have not received your invoice yet, do not worry. NESA have extended the payment due date for this category of teachers. The invoice will be due 6 weeks after it is sent from NESA.
Professional Development
Many PD providers have been unable to upload details for PD participants since December last year. The IEU is one provider in this category. We feel the same frustration as teachers trying to evaluate the PD they have completed on their accounts. Last week, NESA rolled out new login details for all providers.
The IEU has now received its log in details and is now able to upload new courses and teacher participant data. We will advise individual members by email when that is completed.
