The IEU represents principals and teachers holding comparable positions, such as directors of studies in ELICOS colleges.
The Union conducts regular meetings of principals to ensure we are able to vigorously and accurately represent your views and meet your particular needs.

Responding to bushfire trauma
The Union is offering an opportunity to engage with experts in responding to the effects bushfires have on students/children and staff.

Update - NSW schools and early childhood centres affected by bushfires
The union has been advised by Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) that at least 12 Catholic schools have been affected by bushfire. They are Batehaven, Moruya, Broulee, Bega, Pambula, Bombala, Cooma, Batlow, Adelong. Tumut, Braidwood and Gundagai. Some independent schools and early childhood centres have also been affected, including Scots College, Glengarry campus at Kangaroo Valley.

Information for members affected by the bushfire emergency
The Union is aware that a number of members have been severely affected by the NSW bush fires, particularly on the South Coast and in the Snowy Mountains and nearby areas. Some IEU members have lost their homes as a result of the bush fires.

How you can help bushfire affected communities
The national bushfire crisis has brought a bleak start to the new year for many Australians who have had their homes destroyed, family members lost, jobs gone and are experiencing significant dislocation. Many of those on the front line of the crisis are trade union members and their families. The Australian trade union movement stands in solidarity with affected communities.

Christmas closedown
