  • Pre-service teachers may access free membership during your initial teacher education degree. The Union runs a range of pre-service teacher and accreditation workshops throughout the year which you may attend.

  • The Union also provides a range of other popular and practical conferences and training opportunities of great value and interest wherever you are in your career.
     
  • The industrial representation provided by your Union ensures you and your colleagues maintain hard-won conditions, receive regular pay-rises and continue to make gains for your profession.   • CCER launches blatant attack on the Union

    Letters have been distributed across 11 dioceses in NSW and ACT to Catholic school staff by CSO and CEO directors, blatantly attacking the Union's position and accusing it of spreading mistruths. Already several days into the vote for a new enterprise agreement, the move is a desperate attempt by CCER to sway their members to vote for the agreement, even though it puts all their working and pay conditions at risk.

  • Those in the know vote NO

    As the Catholic employers' proposed EA goes to the vote today, many members have already contacted the Union informing them of their NO vote. Members recognise that their rights are in peril. They recognise that if they don't prevent this EA from passing through, then they could lose the right to arbitration forever.

  • Union responds to members' concerns regarding EA voting

    IEU Catholic school staff members have expressed their concern with the electronic voting ballot for their new Enterprise Agreement, citing technical failures. The Union has sent a letter to the Australian Electoral Commission detailing the issues and requesting an urgent solution.
