"Planning safe learning environments for children with developmental trauma – lessons learnt - outcomes achieved"
Abstract: Preschool is one of the most important educational milestones in a child’s life. It is also a time when developmental problems can become apparent. Developing trusting relationships between parents and the school is important. In a conversation, Judy and Margaret will outline how they planned an educational process responsive to the children entering the Barwon Learning Centre, children designated as having behavioural problems, but children who became our teachers. This presentation will outline what we learnt and the outcomes achieved.
"Early Childhood Teacher Accreditation: What are the facts?"
Early childhood teachers in NSW have been required to be accredited with NSW Educational Standards Authority (formerly BOSTES) since July 2016. This short presentation will clarify some of the 'myths' in the sector about early childhood teacher accreditation and provide an up to date overview of the processes associated with achieving and maintaining Proficient Teacher accreditation guided by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
