PIP - HOW NSW ACCREDITATION WORKS

An Introduction to the NSW Education Standards Authority

What is the NSW Education Standards Authority? What do they do? How does accreditation work? What role does
a school or system have and what role does a teacher have? This course will outline the functions of NESA and the Australian Institute for Teaching and school Leadership (AITSL). We’ll unpack the terminology and jargon, shed light on the processes and help you become familiar with the new Australian Professional standards for Teachers.

Please note – this is not specifically a course about how to reach Proficient Teacher accreditation.

TIME: 4.30pm - 6:30pm

Audience: This course is for everyone who wants to know about the NSW accreditation –  Early Childhood, primary, secondary teachers; school executive.

This course is NESA BOSTES Registered for 2 hours.

It addresses the Australian Professional Standards for teachers: 6.1.2; 6.3.2; 7.2.2; 7.4.2.
