TEACH MEET - WOMEN IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP
Celebrate the experiences of women in educational leadership by hearing about the challenges and triumphs Union women have experienced. The speakers will be drawn from a breadth of school/early childhood and head office positions. This is a time to hear about other women’s journeys into and during leadership.
In education, approximately 70% of teachers identify as women, but only about 30% of leadership positions are held by women. This event is about hearing how women have risen to those positions and to inspire others to achieve their goals as well.Hear the strategies employed by women in their leadership positions and the positive impact it has on all students to see and have powerful, educated and passionate women setting education policies, agendas and defining best teaching practice.
A TeachMeet is a PD event where multiple speakers share their stories and strategies and the participants can ask questions.
Completing TeachMeet - WOMEN IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP will contribute 2 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.3.2 and 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintainingProficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
