The IEU is establishing a book club for interested members. We will be reading current educational books and discussing them at termly, online meetings. During the meetings, we will speak to the authors about their books and the future of education in Australia, share ideas and network with each other. It will be a great opportunity to engage in meaningful professional development with like-minded teachers. The book for Term 4 will be Playground Duty by Ned Manning.
To get involved, follow us on Twitter. Organisers from the IEU will be live-tweeting their reading using the hashtag #teachersreading. Make sure you join in! We will be hosting a meeting on Thursday 28 November online (NESA Registered) for everyone to participate in and share their ideas about the book.
Completing the IEU Book Club will contribute one hour of NESA registered PD addressing 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers Accreditation in NSW.
