TEACHER AND EDUCATOR WELLBEING IN EARLY CHILDHOOD SERVICES

We hear a lot about the term “wellbeing” and how this applies to children. Associate Professor Sandie Wong and Dr Tamara Cumming will explain  what is known regarding the wellbeing of teachers and educators in ECEC. Is the importance of the wellbeing of employees reflected in the research? Participants will examine who is responsible for the wellbeing of a teacher or educator? Participants are encouraged to seek and provide feedback regarding real-life issues and experiences in your workplace. What impacts on the wellbeing of employees at your centre? How do you recognise if a teacher or educator needs assistance? What are you already doing to support employees at your centre? How do you balance the needs of all involved, whilst recognising that there are some things that will be outside your capacity to change? Where can you go for more information and what resources are available?
