Following a resounding ‘yes’ vote by systemic schools staff, the NSW and ACT Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020 was considered and ratified by the Fair Work Commission on 14 January 2021 and came into effect on 21 January 2021.

    The Association of Independent Schools (AIS) has indicated it is uncertain about pay increases for this year. Further, the union understands the AIS doesn’t intend to visit schools until March/April to determine pay rates for 2021. The IEU has compiled a list of all AIS schools that have offered a salary increase of 2% or more thus far - check the list to see if your school is on there and feel free to use this information in conversations with your own school leadership.

    NESA is seeking up to five teachers to write the Years 3-6 and Years 7-10 English and Mathematics syllabuses and/or support material for these syllabuses. It is also seeking EAL/D (English as another language or dialect) teachers to assist with the English syllabus writing.
