The IEU will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) this Saturday at the Mercure Hotel in Sydney.


Guest speaker ACTU President Michelle O’Neil will outline progress on the ACTU’s Change the Rules campaign, including encouraging IEU members to attend the rally on 23 October.


IEUA Federal Secretary Chris Watt will give a federal perspective of education policy, funding and industrial relations.


The IEU’s NESA representative Larry Grumley will report on the activities of the NESA Curriculum Committee.


Other business such as the Equal Remuneration Case for early childhood teachers, the National Review of Teacher Registration, the ACT claim for teachers in Catholic schools and the National Enquiry into Sexual Harassment at Work will be discussed.


Delegates, observers and officers are welcome to the AGM starting at 9.30am at the Mercure, 818-820 George St, Chippendale 2007.
