Voting issue at Sydney Catholic Schools: Religious Education Coordinators left off voting list

The union has established that 167 Religious Education Coordinators in Sydney Catholic Schools were incorrectly left off the voting list for the new Enterprise Agreement.

Following communication with SCS, the union has been advised that the issue has been raised with the Australian Election Company and that voting instructions were sent late this afternoon, Thursday 12 November.

All affected staff should now be able to vote.

If you have still not received your voting information and believe you are eligible to participate, or are having any difficulties participating in the vote, please contact the Returning Officer, Richard Kidd, at the Australian Election Company immediately on FreeCall 1800 224 420 or by email at help@austelect.com

If you are unable to resolve an issue after contacting the Australian Election Company, please contact the union. We will do everything within our power to help you and make sure your vote is cast and your voice is heard.

The union is recommending to all our members in Catholic Systemic schools, teachers and support staff, to vote ‘YES’ for the proposed Enterprise Agreement. Please ensure you cast your vote in the ballot on the EA and encourage your colleagues to do the same.  A high turnout in the ballot assists the approval process of the EA in the Fair Work Commission and secures these benefits.
