Independent schools - Enterprise Agreement bargaining update
Dear IEU Rep and Members
Please find attached a NewsExtra which is being circulated to all teachers and support staff in your school. This provides an update for members on the discussions with the AIS for new enterprise agreements for 2021 and beyond. As previously reported, these negotiations have been extremely frustrating for the union and continue not to provide any agreed central outcomes on salary increases for 2021.
The union is greatly appreciative of the support expressed by many IEU Chapters in endorsing the IEU’s claims for this round of enterprise bargaining. The union also acknowledges the difficulties faced by many school chapters in approaching their school leadership team to clarify intentions for salary increases next year. Your commitment and solidarity with your colleagues working in other independent schools has already achieved some progress.
The union will continue to provide updates for you on this situation early in the new school year.
