Exemption from fees for IEU casual members impacted by the current lockdown
The IEU has offered three-month fee exemption to all casual teachers and support staff financial members, this email was sent to all eligible members on 2 August 2021. This is in recognition of the impact the current lockdown is likely to be having on your casual employment.
To date, 218 members have taken up our offer. Due to this overwhelming response, the union has decided to extend the cut-off date to apply for the fee exemption until 24 September 2021.

In applying for the exemption, you have agreed to terms below:
If you have already paid your 2021 membership fees, a three-month credit will be issued to be used against 2022. Please know this credit amount will remain on your record until used. No refunds will be issued on credit amounts.
In applying for this exemption, you understand that the IEU will adjust your fees to the correct membership category at the conclusion of the exemption period, unless you otherwise specify in writing to email@example.com, two weeks in advance of any amendments/extensions.
