IEU Support: Fee relief for members impacted by flood

The IEU Executive, on behalf of all IEU members, stands in solidarity with members who are struggling with the devastating impacts of the flood crisis.

To support you, the union is offering six months of membership fee relief. This applies to all members who have been financially impacted by the floods – teachers (primary, secondary, early childhood) and school support staff – whether you work full-time, part-time or casual. If you pay by payroll deduction or direct debit, we will suspend your fees for six months. If you have paid upfront, we will extend your membership by six months before you are required to pay fees again.

While we understand that communications have been seriously disrupted, we need to hear from you so we can apply this fee relief. So if you are an IEU member who has been financially impacted by the floods, we invite you to email our Membership Team and request flood relief:

The IEU Executive unanimously endorsed the following resolution on Friday 4 March:

The IEU NSW/ACT Executive is devastated to hear of the extent of the destruction in the flood affected areas across NSW during the recent flood event. You are not alone at your workplace and the IEU is here to support and advise members.
