Catholic systemic schools EA: Voting now open

The protected action ballot for members in 540 Catholic systemic schools is now open. Members should have received an email from CiVS, the ballot agent, enabling them to cast a vote. This email contains important information that you will need, including a username and PIN.

This is a vote for your right to take protected action. There are two questions.. If you want the right to take protected action, vote yes.

If you did not receive the email from CiVS, please take the following steps: 

  1. Search your junk/spam folder
  2. If not in junk/spam folder, please check your personal email
  3. Contact CiVS directly on 1300 798 994 or email
  4. Contact your organiser or the IEU on 02 8202 8900 or

Important information about the protected action ballot:

  • CiVS is an independent voting service and has been appointed to undertake your protected action ballot.
  • Your response is confidential and anonymous
  • The email from CiVS contains your username, PIN and instructions on how to vote.
  • You can only vote once and after you have submitted a vote it cannot be changed.
  • Voting period:
    • Voting opens: Wednesday 11 May 2022, 6:00am AEST
    • Voting closes: Tuesday 17 May 2022, 5:00pm AEST

Once you have received the email from CiVS, please vote. Once you have cast your vote, wear your 'I voted' sticker with pride and share it on social media with hashtag #HearOurVoice or put a photo in the comments under the Facebook post below.
