Australian teachers reported the fourth highest use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the third highest levels of stress among teachers in OECD countries in 2025.
Our teachers have adapted to AI faster than most of their international counterparts, in part to try and offset unsustainable workloads and declining levels of professional satisfaction.

The education workforce is increasingly using AI tools to help streamline workloads and reduce administrative demands. It is essential that school staff are consulted in the evaluation and implementation of these tools to uphold their professional autonomy and ensure that AI supports, rather than undermines, educational outcomes.
