Welcome to your fourth issue of Newsmonth for 2026.  

IEU members rallied across the state in May to demand the NSW government provide funding for fair pay in community preschools. Read about the union’s Day of Action and ongoing campaign for pay rises that properly value the work of preschool teachers and educators. 

Members in Catholic independent Model A schools have voted in favour of union-negotiated agreements that provide pay rises and better conditions. Find out how the union secured strong gains for members. 

School employers have given wrong advice about compliance requirements for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD). The IEU confirms there are no changes to evidentiary obligations for the 2026 NCCD.
