IEU Guide to Parental Leave and Personal Carer’s Leave

The IEU has a long and strong commitment to supporting our members to balance their professional and family/carer roles. As part of this, we provide information and resources to support members in navigating work and pregnancy, caring for babies and children, supporting family members with illness or disability, and in meeting the challenges of elder care.

The IEU has updated its Guide to Parental Leave and Personal Carer’s Leave with information on employer paid and unpaid leave for parents, the national Paid Parental Leave Scheme, flexible work arrangements for parents and carers, and dealing with NESA and TQI accreditation issues while on parental leave. There is also some specific information for members working in the early childhood sector.
