Right now, Community preschool teachers and educators are facing intense pressure and stress. They’re struggling to balance unmanageable workloads with a shrinking workforce.
Preschool teachers and educators earn up to 30% less than their colleagues in primary schools. Financial pressures are forcing passionate workers out of the services they love.
It’s up to the NSW government to increase funding for community preschools, to pay preschool teachers and educators what they’re worth.
This issue doesn’t just affect preschool teachers and educators. It affects thousands of families across NSW who rely on the high-quality care preschools provide.
If you believe in the future of community preschools, help us fight to save them. We’re holding rallies in Sydney and Lismore on Wednesday, 6 May. Many preschools will close for part of the day so staff can stand together and call for the much-needed funding. Please keep your child at home, come along and show your support.
