The IEU represents university-educated early childhood teachers and directors employed in early education and care services in NSW and the ACT, including preschools, long day care centres and early intervention services.
We have been successful in gaining improvements in pay and conditions primarily for teachers in community-based centres. Further, we have negotiated many agreements for members employed in stand-alone services and other larger organisations, such as KU Children’s Services, Goodstart and Uniting Early Learning, to name a few.
We have a dedicated Facebook Group and publish ‘Bedrock‘, a joint ECEC publication of the IEUA.
