IEU/TMB Environment Grants 2026

Bring your sustainability ideas to life!

Apply for one of our annual environment grants, sponsored by the IEU and Teachers Mutual Bank.

IEU members are invited to apply for one of six grants of up to $3000 each. This is a great way to get an environment project at your school, college or early childhood centre up and running.

Previous grants include:

  • habitat and biodiversity conservation
  • tree planting
  • composting and vegetable gardens
  • water and energy-saving initiatives
  • waste and recycling
  • projects that draw on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander connections to land, community and the local environment.

Winners will be contacted on 19 October 2026, with a formal announcement at the IEU’s AGM in Sydney on 24 October.

Eligibility: IEU/TMB Environment Grants are open to all IEU members. Grants will be assessed on the project’s ongoing viability, how it links to broader environmental education, and how it will be implemented.

Conditions: Recipients are expected to provide a report in September 2027 outlining the project and its educational benefits. This can include photos and/or videos.
