Day of Action poster – 6 May 2026

Pay Comparison Flyer
This flyer walks through the pay gaps that exist between teachers in preschools, long day care and primary schools. Despite having the same qualifications and roles, community preschool teachers earn up to 15% less than their colleagues in long day care and up to 30% less than those in primary schools. This difference is unsustainable for the health of the sector.
Selfie Sign – Parents + Community Members
Use this selfie poster to help get parents and other community members on board with the campaign. Leave these selfie signs at sign-in, and ask parents to leave a special message celebrating your amazing preschools. Take photos, and send their responses to your local MP, to show them why we can’t afford to lose community preschools!

Selfie Sign – Staff
It’s time to let the world know why you’re taking action for community preschools. Take a photo using this selfie sign and post it on social media. Don’t forget to tag the IEU on Facebook and Instagram!
Why am I wearing pink? – preschool storybook
As part of the Start Strong Pay Fair campaign, IEU members in NSW community preschools have created a story book about teachers, fairness and standing together.
